Tea Party Pork

Anti-earmark Tea Party Caucus takes $1 billion in earmarks

Wait, this surprises you?? How many times to I have to tell you that you are being lied to???

Just like Newt Gingrich going after Clinton for a blow job while he was cheating on his wife, just like Mark Foley being
Chairman of the House Caucus on Missing and Exploited Children, while sending sexually charged messages to male, teenage congressional pages, just like Larry Craig voting to remove "sexual orientation" from federal hate crimes laws, while trying to blow a dude in the Men's bathroom of an airport, just like Ted Haggard lobbying against gay rights and teaching that homosexuality was an abomination, REPUBLICANS ARE HYPOCRITES!

We all know Michelle Bachmann is herself a welfare queen pocketing a quarter million dollars in farm subsidies and that Sarah Palin, the one who preaches on the evils of taxes and big government spending being from the state which has no state income tax and therefore is the largest recipient of federal subsidies in the Union where 1/3 of all jobs are created by the federal government but this is too much, too soon. The Tea Party is what, 2 years old?? And already they turn out to be bullshit?? Not that I didn't already know they were full of shit and that their main, founding principles were completely wrong (no, the Revolution wasn't fought over taxes, it was fought over taxation without representation) but it's nice that someone else is finally acknowledging it.

In case you don't want to read the article, here is a list of Teabaggers and their earmark requests for 2010:

Hypocrites

We all know that some of the same Republicans who were bashing Clinton for his BJ were currently cheating on their wives (Gingrich, Delay), and the ones who were against Gays were typically gay so needless to say, they are typically hypocrites but this is rich:

Trinitarianism

Without using the word "faith", can anyone who is a Christian explain to me how they call themselves monotheists when they believe in the divinity of Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit/Ghost. By my count that is 3...possibly 4 gods.

John 14:28: If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

By the way, we are all Atheists, I just believe in one fewer gods than you...Wait, 3 fewer...My bad.

Typical Republican Lies and the Morons Who Will Pull Anything Out of Their Ass and The Morons Who Believe Them

YOU ARE BEING LIED TO!!

Fairly typical. What isn't typical is that for once, people are standing up to them and exposing the lies of the right. The problem is that there are far too many people in this country who no longer get their news from the news, they get it from political opinion shows of uneducated morons who don't know anything, don't have reporters who work for them but merely sit at a mic or in front of a camera and just make up whatever comes out of their ass.

To be fair, I don't think Mark Kirk actually identifies with the Tea Party...Although he is trying to keep black people in Chicago from voting in this election so there is that.

Republican Stormtrooper Thug Squads at it Again

This just only a few feet from Ru Paul himself and only a couple weeks after a reporter in Alaska was handcuffed and illegally detained for asking another Teabagger, Joe Wilson a question. Isn't that what they do in Iran? With the assault rifles and everything else this is starting to make the Bush years and his war of terror look like Disney Land. And these are the guys worried about the powers of a big government?? Imagine how they will operate when they are the government!!

This is Gold

Wow, if she looked like Chris Coons, no one would have ever heard of Christine O'donnell. But, since she gives red state men boners and reminds them of the good ol days of bimbo house wives, we have people like her and Palin providing such great political comedy.

But I have to admit, I get where she is trying to go with this; it doesn't specifically say "The church and state are always separate" in the First Amendment. And in asking where this clause is found, I would tell her it was right next to the word "hand gun and machine gun" clause in the Second Amendment and the words "God" and "Christian" in any other part of the Constitution.

Not every issue in the modern world is addressed in the Constitution. Internet porn for instance is never mentioned in the Constitution and it is legal nor is the idea that Corporations are people and that they have the same rights, just not the same responsibilities as people even though all the people within that corporation already have their individual rights to contribute to and support any candidate of their choosing. So, I never read any where in the Constitution that says owners of corporations get to have their say twice as much as people who do not have a corporation but the activist judges in the Supreme Court have looked at the Constitution and interpreted it as such to where they believe these rights should apply to corporations just as many wiser Justices in the past have looked at the Constitution, studied it, studied the writings of the authors of the Constitution, studied what they were trying to get away from in Europe, and determined that their intentions, as stated in Thomas Jefferson's writings, were to create a country where the church and state remain separate. Not only that, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion", is pretty clear that the United States cannot endorse a religion or religious beliefs and principals and further more, that no one can be judged on or by religious principles and in Article 6 of the Constitution they even drive this point home further by adding this clause: "no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States" which essentially states that no religion has any authority over the federal government.

Ironically, her being a tea bagger and all, what is also in the Constitution is the 16th Amendment which gives Congress the power to levy an income tax. So not only do many Tea Baggers and conservatives want to get rid of taxes, they apparently want to scrap the entire Constitution as well. They want to rewrite, the 1st Amendment, the 16th Amendment, Article 6 and now even the 14th Amendment. So, why is it ok for them to actually want to change all these components of the Constitution but when someone says that perhaps the founding fathers didn't intend on 16 year olds being able to walk into a K-Mart and walk out with military style hand guns which can fire 1200 armor piercing bullets per minute and take it to school, they flip their shit and pretend they are staunch Constitutionalists and go on about the founding fathers, blah, blah, blah??

The next time some conservative Tea Bagger talks about being a Constitutionalist, give them a good ole fashioned cock punching.

Legalize It!

http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=portugal-drug-decriminalization

5 Years After: Portugal's Drug Decriminalization Policy Shows Positive Results
Street drug related deaths from overdoses drop and the rate of HIV cases crashes

By Brian Vastag April 7, 2009 89

DRUG PLAN: Portugal decriminalized the use and possession of marijuana, cocaine, heroin and other illicit street drugs in an attempt to cut down on related deaths and infections.

In the face of a growing number of deaths and cases of HIV linked to drug abuse, the Portuguese government in 2001 tried a new tack to get a handle on the problem—it decriminalized the use and possession of heroin, cocaine, marijuana, LSD and other illicit street drugs. The theory: focusing on treatment and prevention instead of jailing users would decrease the number of deaths and infections.

Five years later, the number of deaths from street drug overdoses dropped from around 400 to 290 annually, and the number of new HIV cases caused by using dirty needles to inject heroin, cocaine and other illegal substances plummeted from nearly 1,400 in 2000 to about 400 in 2006, according to a report released recently by the Cato Institute, a Washington, D.C, libertarian think tank.

"Now instead of being put into prison, addicts are going to treatment centers and they're learning how to control their drug usage or getting off drugs entirely," report author Glenn Greenwald, a former New York State constitutional litigator, said during a press briefing at Cato last week.

Under the Portuguese plan, penalties for people caught dealing and trafficking drugs are unchanged; dealers are still jailed and subjected to fines depending on the crime. But people caught using or possessing small amounts—defined as the amount needed for 10 days of personal use—are brought before what's known as a "Dissuasion Commission," an administrative body created by the 2001 law.

Each three-person commission includes at least one lawyer or judge and one health care or social services worker. The panel has the option of recommending treatment, a small fine, or no sanction.

Peter Reuter, a criminologist at the University of Maryland, College Park, says he's skeptical decriminalization was the sole reason drug use slid in Portugal, noting that another factor, especially among teens, was a global decline in marijuana use. By the same token, he notes that critics were wrong in their warnings that decriminalizing drugs would make Lisbon a drug mecca.

"Drug decriminalization did reach its primary goal in Portugal," of reducing the health consequences of drug use, he says, "and did not lead to Lisbon becoming a drug tourist destination."

Walter Kemp, a spokesperson for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, says decriminalization in Portugal "appears to be working." He adds that his office is putting more emphasis on improving health outcomes, such as reducing needle-borne infections, but that it does not explicitly support decriminalization, "because it smacks of legalization."

Drug legalization removes all criminal penalties for producing, selling and using drugs; no country has tried it. In contrast, decriminalization, as practiced in Portugal, eliminates jail time for drug users but maintains criminal penalties for dealers. Spain and Italy have also decriminalized personal use of drugs and Mexico's president has proposed doing the same. .

A spokesperson for the White House's Office of National Drug Control Policy declined to comment, citing the pending Senate confirmation of the office's new director, former Seattle Police Chief Gil Kerlikowske. The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs also declined to comment on the report.

Just In Case You Thought This Had Something to Do With Obama

How ironic, with all the shit Bush did in his Constitution shredding days, the title of this is "Impeach Obama Now", as if he has anything to do with it and if he did, I am sure some slut on Faux News or the idiot who posted this knows more about the law than someone with a JD from Harvard Law and who taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago.

A. This has nothing to do with Obama

B. Faux News blames the weather on Obama. Faux News isn’t real news; just because some blonde bimbo (plagiarist, radio talk show host who by the way was an assistant to the crook, Richard Nixon) who doesn’t know anything says Obama is “waging war” against a state, doesn’t make it so.

C. I like how they have a problem with the violation of “American sovereignty” but have no problem with the violation of American’s or anyone else’s civil rights.

D. No, this has nothing to do with legal vs. Illegal, it has everything to do with giving more power to the government and law enforcement to pull over anyone they want, without probable cause. I thought these idiots were supposed to be anti-government??

E. No one is at war with anyone, besides Arizona being at war against Mexicans and brown people like they always have.

F. Ironically, the Chief Judge of the 9th circuit court of appeals is Alex Kozinski, appointed by Mr. Amnesty himself, Ronald Reagan…Again, nothing to do with Obama.

Spare me the phony outrage.

Idiots!

These People are Fucking Crazy!

Wow, they say they aren't trying to force the rapture and say they are for peace but then cheer about attacking Iran. Ya, that's a good idea; it worked really well in Iraq and Iran is 3x the size. The ironic thing is that these are probably the same people who bitch about government spending and debt yet with a nearly $800 billion price tag in Iraq, they are advocating more government spending to kill Muslims in Iran?

I mean, I get it, Israel does have a right to defend itself (but so does Iran)and Iran is most certainly a threat to Israel but no more than Israel is a threat to Lebanon, Palestine, Syria and yes, Iran.

And by the way, if you think you or your entire race was chosen by god, you are not only delusional but also a fucking idiot. Basically what you are saying is that god is a racist. I mean, we already know he is sexist but a sexist, racist, jealous sky god... is that who you really want to spend eternity with? Couldn't you just hang out with my grandpa or something and get the same things?

And wasn't it just a few years ago when white southern Christians hated Jews and burned crosses in yards and blamed all their problems on the liberal, Jewish media?? Now, all of the sudden southern bible thumpers are Zionists?

And the state of Israel is already the largest recipient of US aid; more than Palestine, Egypt and Jordan combined. And these people feel the need to dig money out of their pockets to send to the people who live in one of the richer nations in the world with one of the best equipped armies in the world...Also funded and aided by the US??? So I assume the people who faced genocide in Uganda and Sudan are just the wrong color and apparently not rich enough to give your money to???

And I love how anyone who wants peace is the anti-christ! Oh ya, and if you believe in an anti-christ, you are also an idiot.

Christine O'Donnell

Wow, so I didn't really know anything about this chick and just assumed she was some crazy right wing nut who loved the lord and guns and hated sex and science....Boy was I right.

Here are some excerpts from Wikipedia that I find interesting:

O'Donnell has been described as a former Catholic turned evangelical Christian.[1] She has said that she now attends both Protestant and Catholic services.[93] She has stated that she prays on every decision she makes and that during the 2006 primary she, "heard the audible voice of God".[94]

-Yes, God spoke to her personally

In a 1996 discussion on CNN, O'Donnell advocated the teaching of creationism in public schools. O'Donnell was also critical of Charles Darwin's theory of evolution, asserting that it is merely a theory.

-Only in the way that gravity is a "theory". Asserting from no evidence that the Earth was created by a magic man in the sky 10,000 years ago is only a theory.

While in her early 20s, O'Donnell took a stance against masturbation, calling it "sinful".[96] She will not say whether she continues to hold this belief.

-She isn't and has never been married and since she preaches abstinence before marriage, we have to assume that she is either A. being a hypocrite and having sex, B. Being a hypocrite and masturbating or C. Has no genetalia.

O'Donnell is pro-life.[84] She opposes abortion, including in cases of rape and incest.[13] She would allow abortion with the family's consent, if the woman would otherwise die.[75] O'Donnell opposes human embryonic stem cell research,[70] human cloning,[13] and research into cloning monkey embryos.

-I wonder if she were raped by a liberal, illegal Mexican immigrant if she would change her mind on this one?? And yes, she, along with Jesus, is against cloning monkey embryos.

On October 29, 1999, O'Donnell laughingly said, "I dabbled into witchcraft — I never joined a coven ... I hung around people who were doing these things. I'm not making this stuff up. I know what they told me they do". She added, "One of my first dates with a witch was on a satanic altar, and I didn't know it."

-WTF?

She came to a turning point during college when she found herself drinking excessively and having sexual relationships with men with whom she lacked a strong emotional connection.[8] She would later say of this period, "I know what it's like to live a life without principle."[13] She became increasingly interested in both politics and religion.[10] She became an evangelical Christian, began preaching sexual abstinence and joined the College Republicans.

-This is code for being gay. Men become Catholic Priests, women do this.

She attended her university's commencement ceremony in 1993 but did not receive a degree. O'Donnell later said the degree was withheld due to unpaid tuition.[nb 2][12] In 1994, Fairleigh Dickinson University sued her for $4,823, winning a judgment for the entire amount according to court documents.

-Fiscal responsibility; strike one

She served as a spokesperson for Concerned Women for America,[15] a conservative Christian political action group that opposes abortion[16] and seeks to apply biblical principles to other issues of public policy.

-Yes, if your kids talk back to you, you should be able to stone them and not only that, you should be put in jail for having "other gods before me" and or not honoring the Sabbath.

She founded The Savior's Alliance for Lifting the Truth (The SALT) in 1996 and served as its president.[13] The organization lobbied the U.S. Congress on moral issues[3] and promoted Christian values including sexual abstinence before marriage to the college-age generation.[18] O'Donnell made a number of high profile television appearances as a representative of SALT. In 1996 she appeared on MTV's Sex In The 90's, and advocated for sexual "purity" and against masturbation.

-I'll bet she has a huge pile of lesbian porn she rubs one out to every night...Not that there's anything wrong with that.

She registered a gender discrimination complaint against ISI with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), after which she was fired in 2004.[3] She then sued ISI in federal court for $6.9 million for wrongful termination claiming gender discrimination and that she had been fired in retaliation for filing the EEOC discrimination complaint. She said ISI's actions caused her mental anguish[3][24] and were a consequence of "ISI's conservative beliefs".[25] She also claimed and that she had lost future financial earning power because ISI's actions had delayed her education.[nb 3] ISI defended its action by alleging that she had conducted a for-profit public-relations business while on their time.[3][15] O'Donnell dropped the suit in 2008, stating she could no longer afford an attorney.

-Freeloader. Way to stand behind your principles. Sounds like someone was looking for some easy money. I thought Republicans and especially Teabaggers were in favor of corporations and other entities to be free to do and hire and fire as they please and against business crippling regulations and law suites that pad the pockets of ambulance chasing trial lawyers?? Guess not.

In 2008 O'Donnell defaulted on the mortgage for her Wilmington house and the mortgage company obtained a judgment against her for $90,000. The house was due to be sold at a sheriff's auction in August 2008 when she sold it the month prior to her campaign's lawyer and then boyfriend.

-Fiscal Responsibility; strike two

The Internal Revenue Service filed a lien in 2010 that said that O'Donnell owed $11,000 in back taxes and penalties from 2005, according to public records.[3] O’Donnell said that it was a mistake and a computer error,[28] and noted that the IRS agent handling the matter claimed he was perplexed by the agency's actions.[3] In campaign finance reports, she listed herself as self-employed and said she was doing odd jobs to make ends meet.

Her financial practices were criticized by former campaign staffers Kristin Murray and David Keegan, with Murray charging that during her 2008 campaign, O'Donnell used campaign funds "for rent and personal expenses, while leaving her workers unpaid and piling up thousands in debt."[68][69] CNN reported that O'Donnell's 2010 campaign did pay $3500 to the candidate's mother for bookkeeping and financial consulting, and noted that it is not illegal for a candidate to employ a family member to work on their campaign.

-Fiscal Responsibility; strike three

The Miniature Earth

I believe this is more than 10 years old now which means wealth distribution would be slightly more concentrated in the hands of the few and there would probably be a couple more Asians as well.

Speaking of wealth distribution, how about this bullshit: Dr. Pepper/Snapple made $550 Million dollars in profits last year, their CEO made $6.5 million and is telling the Mott's employees in Williamson, NY that they have to take a $1.50 hr pay cut and a pension freeze. Of course, every Republican would applaud this as a fine example of capitalism.

Yes that's right, the CEO makes $6.5 million per year and says workers making $23,000 per year make too much. For those anti-people, anti-worker, pro-rich, pro-corporation Republican and Libertarians out there, how do you determine that $6.5 million isn't too much but $23,000 is too much? I'm not even arguing against $6.5 million per year since he is obviously running a productive, profitable corporation (of which he could not do without the plant workers), but to say that the workers making your food products make too much??? That takes balls! I'm just wondering what disgruntled workers in the food industry could possibly put in a can of apple sauce if they were being treated unfairly?? Egh.. I don't even want to think about it.

Strippers Protest Religious Tyranny

http://www.cnn.com/video/data/2.0/video/us/2010/08/30/dnt.oh.strippers.vs.church.wcmh.html

Finally someone is fighting back against the hate from the Christian right who are intolerant of others beliefs and want to ignore the rights of others and force them to live according to their values.

I don't think it will be long before you see Gays and Lesbians, women who don't want their bodies controlled by men, pornography publishers to drinkers, etc. starting to protest these dens of hate and intolerance.

I'll leave you with some words from Jesus himself, whom most Christians rarely follow.

John 8:7:
So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her

Matthew 7:
3And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

Forget the People...For the Corporation by The Corporation

Since "For the people by the people" is apparently an outdated concept and the conservative activist judges on the Supreme Court ruled that corporations are the same as people (which almost means the people who own the corporations get to vote twice), I guess we can look on the bright side and can now know which stores and corporations not to support based on who they are supporting. But don't worry Target, I am sure you will buy some more judges soon and make a law that keeps the public from finding out who you contribute to.

We'll Repeal The 14th Amendment When You Let Us Repeal the 2nd Amendment

Wow, Republicans really like changing the Constitution with the likes of gay marriage and now the 14th Amendment yet the 2nd Amendment is completely off limits for them. Why is that? Other than they don't like people who are different and therefore need the guns to shoot them.

Shut Up and Do Your Job...Coward!

From CNN:

Hearing set for soldier in Obama birth certificate case

These morons again??

So a cowardly, tea bagging/birther army officer is refusing to deploy to Afghanistan because he doesn't think Obama was born in the United States. I doubt he ever asked to see Bush's birth certificate but Bush wasn't black so there is that.

How stupid does someone have to be?? There is NO evidence to suggest Obama was born anywhere other than Hawaii. Now, if McCain had been elected, sure there could be some legitimacy to a claim like this since he was in fact born in Panama.

How many times does one need to see a birth certificate and a birth announcement before you just have to smack them in the head with a 2x4???

Anyway, I'll show you Obama's birth certificate and proof of birth but now you have to show me Sarah Palin's High School diploma!

This by the way is front page news on CNN!!! This shouldn't even make the front page of a roll of toilet paper and this guy should be in a padded cell.

To see Obama's birth certificate, which by the way looks exactly like everyone elses birth certificate, and proof of birth, click here: http://toadthoughts.blogspot.com/2009/07/funny-racist-conspiracy-nut-republicans.html

Why Fiscal Conservative Should be Voting for Obama

When the next idiot conservative who just got done with his daily, Two minutes hate, brain washing from Rush Limbaugh or Glen Beck talks about how Obama is some fiscally irresponsible big government spender, tell them to stop listening to fantasies and fairy tales and look at the facts:

Bush tax cuts for the rich cost us: $2.2 Trillion
Useless war in Iraq: $731 Billion
2008 Bush bailouts for rich bankers: $700 Billion

= $3.6 Tillion towards our deficit.

Our deficit for 2009 was $1.42 Trillion. So without Bush and his spending and economic planning disasters, we would be running a $2.18 Trillion dollar surplus and the richest 2% of our country would be paying the same tax rate they were paying during the prosperous '90s.

Lets not forget that "defense" spending for 2010 is $663 Billion....Supporting the two largest airforces in the world to fight guys in caves with IED's.

When will these morons start realizing that the $700 Billion that Bush and Paulson spent in October of 2008, went on the 2009 budget, not the 2008 budget so when Obama took office, he inherited that spending and so his budget for 2009 increased by that $700 billion overnight. The total increase in the 2009 budget was $960 Billion so 73% of the budget increase for 2009 was Bush spending. THAT WAS NOT OBAMA SPENDING!!!!

And let's also not forget that now the deficit is forecast to decline to $1.17 trillion by the end of 2010 and to $533 Billion by 2013...Thanks to Obama!

60% of our budget is dedicated to the following:
Social Security
Defense Spending
Medicare
Medicade (8.19%)

Social Security and Defense accounts for 38% of our total budget.

None of these programs were invented by Obama.

The Rage of the Misinformed

A. The IRS has no power to enforce health care coverage. the IRS is prohibited from criminally prosecuting taxpayers who don't comply with the new mandates or issuing liens or levies as a penalty under the new law....They do however still have the power to audit tax cheats for instance. The Department of Health and Human Services are the ones who set up guidelines for "acceptable coverage".

B. The Revolutionary War was not over a tea tax, it was over taxation without representation.

C. He didn't mention why congress needs so many taxes which is to support our Empire, The Wars a conservative Republican started, Our defense budget which is more than twice that of North Korea, Iran, China and Russia combined, we have the 2 largest Airforces on the planet (1.US Airforce, 2. US Navy,), our 8 Billion dollar Agricultural subsidies which mainly go to rural, republican states such as Alabama, etc.

D. Where was he when Bush was actually taking away our "Constitutional rights"?

E. Neither Washington, Franklin or Adams ever owned a tavern

F. Sam Adams was not a brewer, he worked briefly for his father who sold malts to brewers. He also had absolutely no business sense whatsoever, which is one reason he went into politics.

And let's not forget the irony here of him supposedly talking to our founding fathers who were distillers, "brewers" and "tavern owners"(which they weren't) and how the tyrannical government is stifling business owners whilst in the state of Alabama it is illegal to sell alcohol in 26 of its 67 counties. Not only that, the state controls all hard liquor sales and pricing is also state controlled. Plus, no free business man is able to sell alcohol off premises after 2am, can't sell beer in containers over 16oz's or sell wine over 14.9% alcohol so if you like Port wine, you shouldn't live in Alabama. Plus you can't sell alcohol from any store other than a state run store on Sundays. Not only that, lets talk about all the self-auditing that has to be dealt with in the the 113 page Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board Administrative Code.

And don't get me started on the shots of the guns and what they are trying to say with that and "gather your armies". By the way, in Alabama, impeach is synonymous with the term "lynch".

At the end of this commercial is should say, "I'm Rick Barber and I didn't fact check this message."

Corporate Tax Bills Passed on to the Consumer

http://money.cnn.com/galleries/2010/news/1004/gallery.top_5_tax_bills/index.html?source=cnn_bin&hpt=Sbin

So the one company on this list that actually pays US income taxes is the one who routinely tops the list of selling the cheapest products. The Exxon's and Chevron's of the world actually get money back from the government yet those savings were not passed on to the consumer...And the Teabaggers are complaining that the Federal Government taxes too much? These are some of the biggest corporations in the world. Looks like the federal government offers too many tax breaks, loopholes and credits as opposed to taxing too much.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Anti-Life / Healthcare Teabagger

Oh, and like Civil Rights, health care reform was a huge mistake.

Newt Gingrich:

They will have destroyed their party much as Lyndon Johnson shattered the Democratic Party for 40 years, with the enactment of civil rights legislation in the 1960s.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his need

There has been a lot of confusion out there lately among conservatives and teabaggers about the political affiliation of our President. Some say he is a Socialist some say a Marxist and some say a Communist with most Democrats calling him a classic centrist. Forget the fact that Obama is a politician and not an Economist and since Socialism is an economic system, not a form of government, we'll assume most of the people using these labels are idiots and don't even know what they are talking about.

First of all, he is a Democrat with mostly liberal leanings but also some fairly moderate views. But, since he wants to take the profit and exploitation out of health care and provide health care or at least affordable insurance to everyone in America, that's how he gets the tag of "Communist" or "Marxist". Well, first of all, there is nothing in the Communist Manifesto written by Karl Marx about providing health care to everyone.

In fact, let's look at the 10 main points of Communism and see how well Obama is following his so called political ideology.

  1. Abolition of property and land and application of all rents of land to public purposes. Nope, nothing Obama ever talked about.
  2. Heavy progressive or graduated income tax. Since 1913, has been getting smaller and smaller since 1980.
  3. Abolition of all right of inheritance. Nope, nothing Obama ever talked about.
  4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels. Nope, nothing Obama ever talked about.
  5. Centralisation of credit in the hands of the State, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly. Since 1913 we have had a National Federal Reserve banking system but it has never been a monopoly and no one is talking about making it one. The first national, central bank in the US was created back in 1791 so you know, you can't blame that on Obama because he was still killing Christians and white people back in Kenya.
  6. Centralisation of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the State. Well, since the advent of the Interstate Highway system that has been in the hands of the government and there is a virtual communication monopoly by AT&T but it isn't government run, just capitalism in its purest form.
  7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the State; the bringing into cultivation of wasteland, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with common plan. Hmm, cultivation of wasteland would be a great idea, unless of course it's the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge...Wait, so Bush was a Communist?
  8. Equal liability of all to labour. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture. Industrial armies??
  9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country, by a more equitable distribution of the population over the country. White people have built themsleves all kinds of suburbs abandoning the cities and building on once country pastures abolishing the distinction between town and country but again, that's market forces and the free market doing that. Suburbanites are Communists!
  10. Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of childrens labour in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production. Oh God no! Free education, no child labor?? Grab the hammer and cycle and run for the hills! Well, we have had free, unequal, public education for many many years now so yet again, nothing to do with Obama.
Obama is a complete failure as a Communist.

So the 10 main components of Communism have either already existed in this country for years, have been created on their own by the free market and capitalism or the idea has never even graced Obama's lips. So the next time someone calls Obama a communist, give them a good donkey punch in the back of their head.

But the Teabaggers of the world still say that he is living up to Marx by following the idea of, "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need" and Sean Hannity says this is taken right from the pages of the Communist Manifesto. Well, it isn't. But that's beside the point. Let's assume for a minute that statement was Obama's motto and if it were true, should he be labeled a Marxist? Communist? Let's see:

Acts 4:32All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had. 33 With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and much grace was upon them all. 34There were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned lands or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales 35 and put it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to anyone as he had need.

Oh my God, Obama is a........................................Christian.

That's funny, I thought he was a Muslim, Arab, Marxist, terrorist.

What Doesn't Happen in Canada or the UK

Hmm, would you rather have wait a week to get a wart removed (for free) or wait 24 hours in an ER while you slowly die?

Here it is, for profit, free market, private health care at its finest:

Again, the US has the highest infant mortality rate and lowest life expectancy rate and the most expensive medical system in the western world.

CBS 4, Mar 4, 2010
Anti-Gay Lawmaker At Gay Club Before Arrest?
State Sen. Roy Ashburn, R-CA, Nabbed For DUI, Issues Statement

Another wide-stancer, anti-gay Republican has turned out to be gay. This guy was arrested for a DUI after leaving a gay night club with an unidentified male who was set free at the scene...I am sure it was just a hitch-hiker in need and not a dude who was about to take it up the ass from the Senator. In his defense he wasn't actually cheating on his wife because he is already divorced...Now we know why.

The irony here is that he has voted against every gay rights measure that has come before him since he became a state Senator. I guess you can call it the Ted Haggard syndrome, you know, spouting family values and the defense of marriage while smoking cock on the side...Not that there's anything wrong with being gay, just own it and stop cock blocking yourself.

But this guy still takes the cake:

The Irony of Teabaggers

Ok, so apparently there was a Teabagger convention in Nashville a couple weeks ago. Here is what caught my eye about the event:

National Tea Party Nation Convention Ticket more info
Ticket for the National Tea Party Convention - includes the Thursday night reception, Friday and Saturday training, and Saturday night closing banquet with keynote speaker Sarah Palin, Governor of Alaska (2006-2009) and 2008 Republican Vice Presidential Nominee. See Schedule of Events for meal and schedule details.
* Tickets are non-refundable.
** Ticket price does not include hotel accommodations. You can make reservations at the Opryland Hotel by clicking here (password is TEA10).
Ended $549.00 $9.95 Sold Out

For the people who claim they can't spare another dime in taxes they dished out $558.95 to see the worst speaker on the planet outside of G.W. Bush speak.

It doesn't stop there, the speaker was of course Sarah Palin...Speaking about taxes...

Sarah Palin is at a "tax convention" yet she is a citizen of and once the Governor of one of least taxed states in the Union. Alaska is one of only 5 states that has no sales tax and workers in Alaska pay no state income taxes. How is that possible? The State of Alaska is subsidized by the rest of the tax payers in all the other states. Federal spending accounts for 1/3 of all jobs in Alaska, a state whose citizens are actually wealthier than those in the lower 48. As Governor, Palin herself was petitioning congress (at a time the US was running a deficit) for all kinds of pork projects at a time when oil revenues were at record highs and she was handing out an extra $1200 to every Alaskan citizen on top of the $2000 they already get from the oil dividend fund.

From 2004 to 2008 (Palin was Governor from 2006-2009) Taxpayers for Common Sense reports , Alaskan Senator Ted Stevens had a hand in 891 Alaska-oriented earmarks worth $3.2 billion. That is 18 times the national average. And earmarks represent just a fraction of federal spending in Alaska, which totaled over $9 billion in 2006 alone.

Alaska routinely ranks 1st in Federal Taxes Paid vs. Federal Spending received by states from 1981-2005, meaning Alaskans receive $1.87 in federal funds for every dollar they contribute in taxes, which is the worst ratio in the country. Federal spending per capita in Alaska is 71% higher than the national average. In 2003, federal spending amounted to more than $12,200 per resident of Alaska because Alaska can't support itself without a state income and sales taxes. I think the Teabagers need to realize is that if they want their taxes to go down, Alaskans are going to have to start paying their fair share and stop living off of pork and welfare and stop getting something for nothing. And you thought it was black children with single moms in the ghetto who were getting free handouts and living off your hard earned tax money??? Nope, it's the 699,000 citizens of Alaska. So why is the face of Alaska, who along with the rest of her state are responsible for everyone elses high taxes, speaking at an anti-tax, anti-spending convention? She should be their arch enemy, and I am sure she would be if she were black. But apparently it's ok to lower taxes here in the US, assuming some other government far away is billing their tax payers enough to pick up the slack. If you cut taxes in one place you have to make up for it in others, unless you are from Alaska and then you can just bill the federal government and build a bridge to nowhere.

And as Bill Maher has pointed out, a recent poll showed that almost 90% of the people who identified with the Teabaggers thought taxes had stayed the same or gone up under Obama and only 2% knew that they had actually gone down. Nationally, 24% of the population thought that Obama had raised taxes and only 12% knew that most Americans saw their taxes go down and that no ones taxes have gone up.

And this is a movement that is based on Taxes? It is clear these people don't know anything about taxes.

Not only that, the original Tea Party wasn't even upset about taxes, they were protesting taxation without representation. As you have seen with idiots like Sarah Palin, Dennis Hastert, George Bush, Joe Wilson, Sam Brownback, David Vitter, John Shimkus, Mark Sanford, Michelle Bachman, etc., these people are definitely represented.

Climate Change and 20" of Snow in Philly...In February!

Ok, I know you have heard all these idiots who got 20" of snow...in the north eastern US...in February, and all of the sudden they think that means that either the Earth is getting colder or that it isn't getting warmer. Now, being the ethnocentric, over zealous, reactionary, fly by the seat of their pants, "I feel it in my gut", go along with the in-crowd who can't see the world beyond their own back yard that my conservative friends always seem to be, that is completely opposite of what they have been saying over the last few years where they actually conceded that the Earth was warming but it couldn't possibly have anything to do with greenhouse gases or man's activities and it is just a natural cycle of the planet (which it is but not now, we should be close to approaching another ice age if anything). But now that there is SNOW IN FEBRUARY they are back on the bandwagon that there is no such thing as climate change at all. They even make such claims (Denis Miller) that, "who cares, 1-2 degrees. What's the big deal". Well the big deal is that at 32 degrees water is ice but at 33 degrees it's water...Fresh water....melting not into lake Tahoe or a water tower in the middle of the Mojave, but into our oceans which currently contain salt water which is a whole other problem for people in the UK, Scandinavia and Iceland that I won't get into.

Here are the facts:

Venus is hotter than Mercury even though it is twice as far away from the Sun and Venus only receives 1/4 of the Sun's energy as Mercury . Why? Greenhouse gases!

The lowest temperatures on Mercury (closest planet to the Sun) is about 297 degrees BELOW ZERO F. The low temperatures on Venus only get down to about 675 degrees Fahrenheit AOVE ZERO. Why? Because Mercury has no greenhouse gases, Venus' atmosphere is 96.5% CO2. So there, now we know the effects a greenhouse gas like CO2 can have on a planet.

Now, what have people on Earth been spewing out of their automobiles, coal plants, trains, boats and factories for the last 150 years?? That's right! CO2. But don't forget Methane, which acts as a much more powerful greenhouse gas than CO2, can be generated by the decomposition of our garbage but mainly comes from the digestion of our livestock. Yes fatty, that steak raises green house gas levels in our atmosphere. And don't say you can't stop cows from farting because if you thought it through for a couple more minutes it was all start to make sense...I just don't want anyone to embarrass themselves. Speaking of which, contrary to what Congressmen John Boehner says, cows do not fart CO2.

Over the last 400,000 years, CO2 levels have averaged about 300 ppm but due to our industrial revolution and population explosion we have contributed another 80 ppm to that figure bringing current average CO2 concentrations to 380 ppm, a 26.6% increase. During the last ice age when it was obviously really cold, CO2 concentrations were at about 180 ppm and guess what, there were not cars, coal plants or animal husbandry to generate the massive amounts of CO2 or Methane the Western diet generates today.

Every warming period going back 400,000 years has coincided with a rise in CO2 levels. CO2 levels have been higher in the past as volcanic activity and the dying off of the majority of life on the planet and other factors can release greenhouse gases into the atmosphere as well.

CO2 is toxic to humans, it's why we exhale it....But it does have a nice effect for metal bands in the form of dry ice.

Since the end of the last ice age (16000 BC) the oceans have risen 300 feet (it's why there is now a Bering Strait as opposed to a Bering land bridge) and the average temperature of the Earth has gone up 16 degrees F. So you see, when it gets warmer, ice does melt, when ice melts, the sea levels do rise. I know Faux News says that ice doesn't make the water levels rise but they are wrong about that along with a great number of other things....like the definition of "news" for instance.

Europe's "little ice age" lasted from 1400 until the start of the industrial revolution (1860)...no coincidence there. The interesting thing is that during this time, they experienced very little precipitation. This colder environment along with drier weather resulted in the decline of the Vikings and the Irish Potato Famine. So 24" of snow (precipitation) on the east coast in the middle of February doesn't mean the Earth is getting cooler or even that it isn't getting warmer. Just as Antarctica is one of, if not the driest places on Earth even though it is one of the coldest, it can still snow even if its just a little warmer than it was last year. By the way 2008 saw a 1.34" above average amount of precipitation. Bottom line, warmer air can hold more moisture than colder air.

Combined global land and ocean temperatures January of 2010 was the 4th warmest on record according to the activist, leftist, Stalinist, global warming profiting, biased, conspiracy laden National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. June of 2009 was the second warmest on record since records have been kept going back to 1880.

For the Southern Hemisphere June of 2009 was the warmest month on record. You may recall the photos Koala Bears begging humans for water.
Photobucket

According to the World Meteorological Organization (not amateur Faux News reporters) the 2000s (2000-2009) were the warmest decade ever since humans have been recording such data. And I am not just talking about all the hot air from the Bush administration.

2009 was the 5 warmest year since humans have been recording such data.

New studies (NCAR) show that the occurrences of days where a record high temperature was set have vastly outnumbered the days where record lows were set have been steadily increasing over the last 50 years and is now at a ratio of 2 to 1. How the data works out is that there are fewer days where record lows are set, not that there are so many more days where record highs are set and what it also suggests is that our days aren't getting that much warmer but our nights are becoming less cold. A less cold/warmer night would make sense if there were more greenhouse gases in the atmosphere as the warm air would be trapped in the atmosphere which keeps the nights warm even after the Sun goes down...See the Venus effect where it has hot nights and Mercury has very cold nights but very hot days but there are no greenhouse gases to trap that heat as there is in Venus and now Earth.

From 1995-2001 the Larsen Ice Shelf in Antarctica lost 970 square miles of it's surface area.
The Jones Ice Shelf had an area of 35 km2 in 1970 but was gone by 2008.

Of the 2000 or so glaciers being monitored in Alaska, 99% are retreating along with several hundred in Patagonia and the glacier on Mt. Kilimanjaro has retreated 75% since 1912.

Since 1980, the average thickness of glaciers being monitored (30 glaciers in 9 mountain ranges) has decreased by 11.3 meters water equivalent.

Interesting Coincidences:

In first half of the 1940's there was and increase in both CO2 levels and global temperatures.
At the same time, the world was at war building the largest armies the world has ever seen and transporting those armies across the world burning massive amounts fossil fuels.

There were some very cold weeks this winter, at least in the midwest. At the same time, electricity generated by coal plants in the US from October of 2008 to October of 2009 was down 11,592 thousand megawatt hours or 7.6%, Declines in Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Indiana, Alabama, and West Virginia accounted for 56.3 of that decline but electricity generated by hydroelectric sources was up 29.8%. Due to the stagnant economy, net generation of electricity was down 3.8% during the same time frame.

So, what does the anomaly of 2 big snow storms and 2 or 3 average winters over the last 20 years in the Northern Hemisphere or North America do to disprove the effects of man's impact on the climate or at very least that the Earth's climate is changing??

Not dick!

Glaciers don't recede if the climate gets colder. Get it?

And I know some on the right will say that there is all this money to be made in global warming and that Al Gore has made millions selling global warming and giving speeches. Well ok, if you want to follow the money let's do that.

We know that the "science" against climate change is coming from the people who sell fossil fuels such as the Coal industry and big oil. So, lets look at how much money they stand to lose vs. the money Al Gore and a few climatologists stand to gain in the climate change debate.

Roughly 45-50% of all the electricity generated in the US comes from Coal fired power plants. The Coal industry in the US, which is second only 2nd China, generates profits between $50-60 billion per year. We also know that Exxon ALONE had $40 Billion in profit in 2007. So how much did Al Gore make off An Inconvenient Truth? How much funding do climatologists who research climate change receive world wide?? You tell me but I know its not $100s of Billions.

So who has the biggest incentive in skewing or proving data one way or the other? The guys making $100s of Billions per year or the guys who are receiving millions per year?

Bible Fail, Which is it?

I don't take credit for putting all of this list together but as I have pointed out in the past, how can you put so much credence in a book that consistently gets it's stories confused. Not only did the Bible get a lot of science wrong (the Earth doesn't rest on pillars and is round for instance) but many of the stories of Jesus in the gospels are completely different versions of the supposedly same event. If at least two of the gospels got Jesus' last words wrong, what else did they get wrong? What else about the Bible isn't true? This question is mainly for the fundamentalists who believe every word of the Bible to be literal and 100% accurate as many trained priests in the Catholic Church for instance are educated enough to not take everything literally. So, fundamentalists, how can you put 100% faith in the "word of God" if the word of God isn't a consistent message? And if God was involved in this, why is it so flawed? And then, how can you put so much faith in a god who can't keep his stories straight and is clearly not perfect?

Isn't it a catch 22? I mean, if you can clearly see the error of man involved here and it's obvious that "God" had nothing to do with this book, then aren't you really worshiping man, following the law of man and not God? And if that is the case, why would you just worship a bunch of bronze age tribesman? What do they know? But if you still claim this is a book from God, even partly, then why do you want to worship such a humanesque god who isn't the sharpest pin in the cushion?

And by all means, if you can explain a way these inconsistencies, I am all ears, feel free to correct me.

Or
Exodus 32:27-28 Then he said to them, "This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: 'Each man strap a sword to his side. Go back and forth through the camp from one end to the other, each killing his brother and friend and neighbor.' The Levites did as Moses commanded, and that day about three thousand of the people died.
