Facts About Obama Spending and Debt

I am so tired of hearing from the tea baggers about how Obama ran up our debt and increased spending and is going to bankrupt the United States...It is true that spending under Obama has increased but I want to clear up all the misconceptions that you tea baggers have about how you are manipulating numbers to try and prove your point.

The bottom line is this: OBAMA HAS ONLY SUBMITTED TWO BUDGETS! THE 2010 and 2011 BUDGET. BUSH SUBMITTED THE 2009 BUDGET which was $3.1 Trillion.

Obama and Congress did have some stimulus add ons to the 2009 budget that added $185 billion (6%) to the 2009 fiscal year but it was ultimately drafted by the Bush administration.

That's how it works, the budget is always submitted the year prior to that fiscal year by the President which in this case was Bush in 2008 who submitted the 2009 budget.

So all the debt, deficit and spending numbers being used to calculate Obama's "increases" start with his 2010 budget, not Bush's 2009 budget.

The 2010 Budget was Obama's first budget. And of course with the small amount of spending increases by Obama, you have to account for the fact that he actually put the Iraq war ($130 Billion) on the budget (overseas military contingencies) which Bush did not(supplemental appropriations)...Not to mention the fact that the wars are still not over and we are still paying for them....And then of course all the interest on the Bush debt...And of course the decrease in revenue due to the Bush economy (-$420 Billion in 09). So not all of the increases in the 2010 budget were actual "Obama spending", like the $209 Billion, or 6% of our 2010 budget which is going towards interest on past debt, a lot of which is Bush's debt.

Here are the facts.

Ending in fiscal year 2001, the US had a surplus $127 Billion
The DEFICIT for Bush's 2009 budget was $1.42 Trillion.
Obama's 2010 Budget saw a deficit of $1.45 trillion...A 2% increase from Bush's 09 budget
Obama increased our national debt by 13.8% in 2010
Bush's increased the national debt 18.8% in 2009 and had increased the debt 11.2% in 2008.
The national debt at the end of 2000 before Bush's first budget was submitted was $5.6 Trillion, for the last Bush budget in 2009 the debt had increased to $11.9 Trillion, a 110% increase.

Over 60% of our budget is dedicated to the following:
Defense Spending (20%) - (Everything included, it's actually much higher than this)
Social Security (20%)
Medicare (13%)
Medicade (7%)

Obama didn't invent any of these, nor was he responsible for the wars or Empire which requires so much revenue for defense nor was he the one who has been borrowing from social security, nor did he have anything to do with the 2000 tax cuts ($2.2 Trillion) nor did he have anything to do with the HMO (Nixon) that allowed medical costs to skyrocket and thus make medicare and medicade as expensive as they are.

2009 also saw a 17% decrease in federal receipts (bad economy) from 2008...Also something Obama had nothing to do with.

So now we know that Obama has very little to do with our overall debt and deficit situation. The next time a teabagger tries to get away with blaming the 2009 budget on Obama, kick him square in his teabags.

I'm not the only one saying this!

You're a pacifist vegan, aren't you? So caring over this country and wanting to "spread the wealth around" to people who refuse to work! How thoughtful of you! Celebrate by drinking a diet soda, but don't drink too much or too fast, you might get a tummy ache!

Toad734 said...

You're a Faux New watching moron aren't you? Spread the wealth around?? Is that supposed to be a joke? The Republicans and corporations have been spreading my wealth (the middle class) up to the rich for 30 years! That is the only wealth spread that is going on in this country and continue to thrive as you bust up unions and trade in your once full time job to be a part time greeter at Walmart...You are being lied to and they are laughing at you.

And no, not a vegan...But I have a hunch that you are one of those "Christians" who campaign against gays but then blow dudes in a bathroom...Typical.

Toad734 said...

And sorry, that these real facts hurt your feelings and doesn't quite add up to what Rush Limbaugh and Faux News tells you..Grow up, stop living in a fantasy land where more guns make you safer, you reduce the deficit with tax cuts and if you give rich people more money, it will help the economy.

Anonymous said...

I don't watch "Faux New". I don't even watch Fox News that often, if that is what the hell you were talking about. I am a Christian, and I am a Republican, and have nothing against gays. In fact, I have a friend that is a Democrat that has full on hatred against gays. You probably blow men, since you thought of that in the first place. And of the rich people? They get taxed a higher percentage the higher income they have. It's ALWAYS been like that. The reason why they call it a tax cut is because they're taxed less then they use to be. And even if they are taxed a lower percentage it would be because they would have incentive to invest. You're a conspiracy minded goofball, and that's okay. I understand, you can't help it. If you believe all the people who fight for our country are bad doo doo heads, that's your chosen fantasy, and I have nothing against that. I can also tell you're an atheist with that Christian comment. But it's your belief. So, wow! Look at you now! You're a big boy now!

Anonymous said...

OMG!!! Obama is the first black president!!! That must make him the greatest in the world or something!!! WOOOOO!!!!

Toad734 said...

No, rich people are taxed higher for the higher their income gets...a guy making $250,000 pays the same percentage as someone making $5 million per year and not only that, both of them pay a smaller percentage of their income in SS taxes than you and I.

Now, if you would like to comment on what I posted, or in some fantasy world, think that it is wrong, the we can discuss that. But as it is, you know it's all facts and you can't stand the fact that Obama has actually lowered your taxes and expanded your gun rights...I know you want to hate him because he's black and has a weird name and pretend it's because he is coming for your guns and money but now, from reading my blog, you know that isn't the case.

You're welcome!

Toad734 said...

Oooh!!Obama is the first black president...He must not be American or Christian or capitalist. Wooo!

Anonymous said...

Okay, now you're saying I don't like black people. What's next, you're gonna say I hate the Jews as well? I'm saying that a lot of people I know likes him just because he's the first black president. He's probably Muslim, since he said it himself and now he's denying it. Now you'll probably say I hate Muslims too. Obama is trying to push more regulation, not more gun freedom. Taxes increased for my family since he's in office(and after 2009). Obama will increase the debt way more than bush, whether you like it or not. If you dislike bush for the so called "tax cuts" then you should dislike Obama too, since he extended it. You think you are sooo correct. Toad734? More like turd734. Go on usdebtclock.org and you'll see the increasing debt caused by the Obama and his administration. That's the current debt increase caused by him. But Oh! He's a Democrat so he must be great anyways! Listen to critical acclaim by avenged sevenfold. It's a message to people like you.

No one cares about what you think. That's why I'm the only one leaving comments. At least I have the decency to make fun of you and your ignorant beliefs.

I don't think your beliefs are wrong, religiously or politically. It's just that I'm more right than you are. God bless! Go with Christ.

Toad734 said...

Ignorant = Code for true

Following Christ = Code for gullible.

More right than you = Code for listen to Rush Limbaugh and loves guns and embryos...Yes, you are a reichwinger but just because you lean right doesn't make you right...It makes you wrong in fact.

Anonymous said...

Actually, right is right. Left would have to be... Well, wrong. Reichwing, huh? Funny. Even though Hitler's political belief leans more left that still was clever. Believing the universe came from nothing into something magically by itself can be considered just as gullible, if not more. Support partial birth abortion as much as you want, but it's wrong. Abortion is fine if there is a good reason of course(like if the person has been raped or the baby would have serious mental or physical problems, for example). To be honest, any religion could be true, but I follow Christianity because it makes the most sense to me. You're considered the theftwing, since most people who steal are. The reason why there are a lot of people with leftwing views is because about half of America is retarded. Lets take out a real life example here. There's two of us, you're a retard. That makes one-half. I'm right, so accept you're wrong, you little wussy bitch.

Anonymous said...

The toad report? More like the turd report.)XD

Toad734 said...

You follow Christianity because you were born in America and your parents were Christian...End of story. You haven't really researched all religions to find the right one, you merely went with the one you were given at birth...If you had been born in Pakistan you would be a Muslim and that would make the most sense to you, if you were born in Telaviv you would be Jewish....End of story.

If I am so wrong, I am still waiting for you to find one thing on my blog that is incorrect..We already know you are wrong because you assume I support partial birth abortion...Now, you clearly have another definition for what that means but, like with most things i am sure, you are wrong

And hating Jews and telling lies about other nationalities and starting wars...I don't know, that sounds more like a right wing thing to me.

Wow, Turd Report!! Did you come up with that one all by yourself, professor?

Now you're making more stuff up. Hating jews? Seriously? Pacifist pagan, we went to the middle east in response to the 9/11 attacks. Seems to work, right? And you're against any belief in god because why? Toad thoughts? More like turd thoughts. Fine examples of atheists... Adolf Hitler... Joseph Stalin... Jeffrey Dahmer. Very fine examples. If you're against all war turd734, that's okay. It's alright to cry. Go hug a tree if it makes you feel better.

I researched some information of Islam and found out Mohammed is suppose to bee a military general and messenger of god. Christ's teachings and role in the world sounds more realistic to me.

Toad734 said...

Actually, Joseph Stalin is the only one of those who is an Atheist.

Hitler was a Christian, as was Timmothy McVeigh, Eric Rudolph, the BTK killer, etc.

Anonymous said...

Hitler WAS a Christian. His mommy died, and he became an athiest. That is when he got the Jews killed, and he didn't allow Catholic churches. He allowed lutheran because he use to be one. Dahmer was an athiest. That's why he commited horrible, unnatural crimes. He pushed his athiestic belief to the limit, since he figured he wouldn't be anywhere when he died anyway. Besides, what is it about the belief in God that you dislike? Is it because you're born one, or because inconvinient situations happened to you?

Anonymous said...

By "born one", I meant being an athiest.

Toad734 said...

Secular schools can never be tolerated because such a school has no religious instruction and a general moral instruction without a religious foundation is built on air; consequently, all character training and religion must be derived from faith.... We need believing people."

-- Adolf Hitler, April 26, 1933

Dahmer didn't eat people because he was an Atheist...Atheism isn't a belief system anyway, it's the lack of a belief system...There isn't a name for someone who doesn't believe int he Easter Bunny and people who commit crimes don't do it because of or for or in spite of the Easter Bunny...

Wasn't John Wayne Gacey a deacon in his church?? And let's talk about all the child fucking priests...Again, at least I can realize that they don't do it in the name of God (unlike Eric Rudolph, Bin Laden, Jim Jones, and other theists, etc.) but they just happen to be Christians and in the church and also happen to be sick.

Do you really want to start tallying up people killed or who killed in the name of religion?

And ask yourself this, how many atheists are in prison?

The better question here is why or how could YOU believe in a god that you have never seen, there is no evidence of, and most of his message in his books have been proven to be false...I mean, why not believe in the tooth fairy?? THere is just as much, well, actually, there is more evidence of the tooth fairy than god. I mean, when I was a kid I would put a tooth under my pillow and the next day there was money there...I have never seen such evidence of god...Well, besides all the babies in Africa he gives AIDS to on a daily basis.

this is an entertaining argument

I always thought he was atheistic because it seemed like he disliked religion altogether. And the priests screwing priests? Catholicism. I'm a Lutheran. See, about the aids in Africa, diseases from jungles just happen. It's very easy to blame God for world problems, I've even done that myself, but diseases can happen to people from different environments, because of animals or insects and stuff like that. And the Japan quake? Earthquakes happen in the Earth so it can sustain life. God has nothing to do with that. You don't even have to choose a certain religion or denomination, just belief in God in general. Consider my logic here: there are people who believe in God and don't. Turns out there is no god. The belief whether God exists or not doesn't matter, since there's no afterlife. But if He does exist, atheists might have explaining to do and people who believe in him would automatically go to heaven. Do I believe you'll go to hell? Nope. I believe you'll go to a temporary place of existence, like limbo or purgatory. But if you're a good person anyway, you'll go to heaven, for Christ loves us so much he died for our sins to prove it. I don't dislike you for your opinion, because that's your personal belief: the belief of no belief, and I respect that.

The second sentence I meant priests screwing children.

Hitler supported social democracy, unions and wanted total government control, witch is the opposite of what Republicans and conservatives want. So really, he took motives from both parties.

Toad734 said...

And was opposed to abortion, hated gays, was strong on "defense", invaded other countries, hated foreigners and was a Christian, just like Republicans.

Toad734 said...

Ok, but a lot of people who are religious thinks that god punishes people with these natural disasters...A good portion of them and a lot of very mainstream people as well. I'm not saying you are in the minority for sure but generally speaking, in the mind of a religious person, Hurricanes = punishment for gay sex. And if that is the case, you have to wonder why there are so many tornados in the bible belt. And you are also in the minority in saying that I'm not going to hell if I was a good person...Both Christianity and Islam in general, does not agree with that premise. In fact, in most Christian teachings you can be a murderer, rapist and terrible person but as long as you accept Christ and get baptized on your death bed, you go to heaven and anyone who adopts AIDS babies and feeds the homeless will go to hell if he is attracted to someone of the same gender. I do have to commend you for not appearing to be in that camp.

I don't blame god for giving AIDS to babies because if anything, that is evidence that he doesn't exist...But I don't blame him for Aids and earth quakes any more than I blame the tooth fairy...I just have to point out that the people who pray everyday do so in thinking god is actually controlling their life in a way and if he has that power...To make a ball go through a hoop or get you that job interview, then he's a dick for giving AIDS to babies in Africa and sending earthquakes to Japan and Haiti....Pat Robertson said Haiti made a deal to serve the devil with voodoo and that's why they got hit with their earth quake...Katrina happened because of gay parades during Mardi Gras.

Toad734 said...

And on the flip side, if there is no god, which is more likely because really, how likely is it that somehow, billions of years ago, an all perfect, all powerful, all knowing being spontaneously appeared into existence and after a few billion more years gets bored and creates the universe, but then that wasn't enough for this perfect being so he created Man but then that wasn't quite right either so he then created a Woman and then tempted them with shit they wanted and punished them...Sounds petty to me and not the work of an all perfect being...nor does all the jealousy, vengeance, revenge and punishment he dishes out in the old testament, just to do a 360 and be the god of love and peace in the new testament...I mean, would an all perfect being be so inconsistent? Not only that, how would he get so many things wrong about the natural world and universe, he created??
http://toadthoughts.blogspot.com/2008/03/what-our-world-would-be-like-if-bible.html

And what about all the inconsistencies?
http://toadthoughts.blogspot.com/2010/02/bible-fail-which-is-it.html

But anyway, if there is no god, then all these wars, genocides, suffering, exploitation and all the money and time people devote to religion, is all for nothing...You could live the life you want without living under these guidelines (which by the way didn't come from Religion to begin with). We know for sure that this life is real, no one can say that about the after life...So doesn't it make sense to make the most of what we do have as opposed to limiting ourselves and dividing ourselves for the this short time on the off chance that an eternity awaits?? And then lets talk about that; do you really want to live forever with this dude who was so angry and jealous and all these other petty human traits? I mean, forever?? I certainly wouldn't want to spend my life burning in flames either; that would be worse but the alternative isn't all that great either. It's like this, sort of, if you always waited for the next and best Iphone to come out before you bought one, you would never end up with an Iphone...If you are waiting for happiness in your next life, it might serve you better to look for it in this one...And although you may think Jesus makes you happy, he doesn't...You make your own happiness...Or you take a pill, but neither of them come from Jesus...Religion may comfort you when someone dies but it doesn't actually physically effect you...It may affect you but not effect you.

Anonymous said...

You keep on assuming that Republicans hate gays in general. NO! There's Democrats I know that hates gays. The belief on gays being bad can go either way. God has nothing to do with today's problems. Strong religious belief does. Stuff like AIDS came naturally through the biogenesis and nature of Earth. Earthquakes came through Earth sustaining life. What I believe God does is that he guides people through morals to bring us in the right direction. And evil things going on in the world? I believe it's caused by Satan that makes us sin and have bad judgements. Priests molesting kids? That's not in the name of God. Molesting is only in the name of the molester. Murder is only in the name of the murderer. There's no such thing as a "holy war" because God doesn't condone violence of any kind. As you know, I don't believe in the whole bible. In fact, I believe in almost none of the old testament, only most of the things in the new testament. Because the bible, I admit, does have several lies and biased beliefs. And with murderers and rapists who believe in Jesus, I believe they will be punished for their abominations for a set period of time, just like the atheists who do that. Like I said earlier, God doesn't give diseases to anybody, that's just how the world turned out. He wants to see our judgments on things in this imperfect world, and then go to a place in the afterlife. And also, how is it possible that we came from nothing, then a tiny point of light, into something because... Well, just because? That can be a ridiculous belief as well.

Toad734 said...

I didn't say all Republicans hated gays or that no democrats do. Same goes with racism; not all republicans are racist but if you are a racist, you are probably a Republican.

I know kids don't get molested in the name of god or the church but Stalin didn't kill in the name of Atheism or kill people over religion either.

And I don't think you know your god very well or we are talking about two different gods here because here is your god:

Exodus 32:27-28 Then he said to them, "This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: 'Each man strap a sword to his side. Go back and forth through the camp from one end to the other, each killing his brother and friend and neighbor.' The Levites did as Moses commanded, and that day about three thousand of the people died.

Isaiah 14:21 Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities

Exodus 15:3 The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name.

Jerimiah 13:14 "I will allow no pity or mercy or compassion to keep me from destroying them"

Matthew 10:34 Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.

You say you don't believe most of the bible so why call yourself a christian at all?

Anonymous said...

Because I believe in the main points of Christianity: God created the heavens and the earth, and he send his son Jesus to earth to be crucified and forgive us for our sins. And the message of love your neighbor as you love yourself and be a good person. I probably believe in about half of the bible, if not less. You don't have to believe that EVERY single scripture is true to be considered a Christian.

Anonymous said...

Anything else you want to say about believing in The Lord being bad, I'll answer it. You probably won't like the answer, but I can give one. Otherwise, may the grace of the Lord be with you. Amen.

Toad734 said...

Again, something has to exist in order to be bad. I am just saying the god written about in the Old Testament is a pretty humanesque figure with temper tantrums and jealousy issues and anything but graceful...Assuming he is real anyway...And if this is the same guy that's in the New Testament....

Anonymous said...

You persist on talking about the bible. I've already disscussed to you about the bible, but I suppose I could be more in depth. The writers of the bible are based on the visions they had. A lot of them are false in the old testament, probably because people were a lot worse 3-4 thousand years ago, while in the new testament, ranging sometime in the 1st century. Mainly, for me, it's just about the belief in God and Jesus Christ sacrificed himself for our sins. So, since you don't believe in God, is there away you can explain to me how the universe started from nothing to a tiny point of light to an extremely large universe? I'll wait for awhile for an answer, since it will probably take time for you to come up with an answer.

Toad734 said...

is there away you can explain to me how god started from nothing to a tiny point of light to an extremely large universe?

Anonymous said...

Well... Because he's God. He just decided to make this universe this way, which I would imagine would take either a lot of planning or no planning at all. He just did it. You're theory is the big bang, which I believe as well. But there is a problem with that. Something cannot come from nothing. It just doesn't work that way. The existence of us is a highly underrated phenomenon. You didn't answer my previous question there, sport.

Toad734 said...

Something coming from nothing actually disproves your god, not the big bang. The story of the universe coming into existence and evolution most certainly states that it all came from something, something more primitive. It's god who supposedly spontaneously appeared out of nothing as an all perfect, all knowing, all powerful being.

And since we know "something can't come from nothing" isn't true, because we are here and the two most popular theories on how that happened is the Big Bang and god...So we know for sure that statement of something can't come from nothing is false because here we are...I mean, again, it's not that I saw we came from nothing but no, I can't explain where that original clump of mass came from...It was probably the left over matter from a previous universe that collapsed on itself and then became so dense it exploded but still, by not having an origin of that material, I am in the same boat as you not having an origin for your far more complex life form that would have, by your logic, had to have a creator and came from something.

So which is more likely?
A. A clump of mass came from nothing
or
B. An all perfect, all knowing, powerful, complex being came from nothing.

Do we see that a lot in nature? Do new species of birds just spontaneously appear into existence as full functioning beings or do they, along with all other life forms on this planets, clearly show an evolutionary path coming from older, more primitive species?

And if your god was here all along, why is he absent from any Sumerian and early Egyptian religions? They all had older gods that came before yours...Why did he wait a thousand years before revealing himself to Abraham and Noah and those guys? Where was he before that? Where is he now?

Anonymous said...

What I meant earlier about the big bang is that when that event happened, something must have existed before that, instead of nothing. That something would be the Lord, who has always existed in my belief. My opinion why he waited to reveal himself to those guys is that they had a good enough conscience to do so. I don't believe in a lot of the old testament stuff anyways. And I believe that the Lord waited for people to have a less primitive mind. But I believe that he guided people through morals to wait for the right moment to reveal himself. Where is he right now? My theory is that he's in heaven, guiding people through morals, or both. I believe in evolution as well. You persist on making bible references. It's about believing in God in general, really. There's no full-on proof that God exists. There's no proof that he doesn't either. Agree to disagree.

Toad734 said...

I totally agree that there is no proof that god doesn't exist but again, I would still say there is also no proof that the tooth fairy doesn't exist either even though I actually have seen evidence of her existence but no evidence of god.

Less primitive?? The Sumerians? Egyptians?? Sumerians invented writing, studied the stars, invented agriculture, etc. I don't think that could be counted as primitive...No more primitive than Noah.

If the lord could have always existed why couldn't a clump of exploding mass?? Again, if one is possible then the other is possible...Especially if the other one is far less complex and perfect and "evolved".

So if you don't believe most of the old testament, why do you believe one of the most ridiculous components of the Old Testament, the one that says the Earth was created by god in 6 days, 10k years ago and that an all perfect being has always just existed some how??I think I would be more inclined to believe the Exodus story and the golden calf and the Ark than I would theoretic beginnings of the Universe...Speaking of primitive, doesn't it just make sense that bronze age tribesmen had no other way to explain where the Sun went at night or what caused locust infestations and volcanic eruptions so they made up a story about a god doing these things to or for people?

But no, there is no proof that god doesn't exist but plenty of evidence that, as you say, most of the Bible is not accurate. And with that, I don't know how you pick and chose ho to believe any of it...Not that I don't think there is any historical facts contained in it, as there is, but there are probably SOME facts in The Enquirer and possibly even the Glenn Beck show but that doesn't make them a credible source.

Anonymous said...

What I mean by "less primitive" is a less developed conscience. You persist on talking about the old testament and comparing god like a tooth fairy. I don't believe in most of genesis and exodus. Only the slightest information could be described metaphorically. Ok, lets be fair. Whichever has the highest amount of believers today are most likely true. Atheism vs. Christianity? Hmmm... HMMM...

Anonymous said...

Your belief is outnumbered. Enough of your turd thoughts! )XD

Toad734 said...

Only 33% of the planet worships Jesus so who is outnumbered?

Less developed conscious?? Actually, most of the 10 Commandments came from Hammurabi's code of laws and that same code of laws were way more extensive than the Jewish laws of Moses and were written 300 years before the 10 commandments. And now only 3 of the 10 commandments(the ones that were in Hammurabie code) are a part of most Western societies laws and legal system. Hammurabi had banking laws and everything. Far more evolved than the 10 commandments.

And just because more people believe something doesn't make it true...You all believed Iraq had WMDs but where did that belief get you?

Toad734 said...

And Christianity has more number of followers than any other belief. The rest I didn't quite catch, because all I heard was TURD THOUGHTS! )XD

". Republicans aren't the only ones that believed Saddam has WMDs. "

Saddam did in fact have WMD. Several were found after the allies invaded the country.

These were not WMD, but were old ones from the Gulf War that fully met the definition of WMD.

"Saddam had no WMD" is one of the biggest lies involving the Iraq war.

".... you bust up unions and trade in your once full time job to be a part time greeter at Walmart...You are being lied to and they are laughing at you."

More corrections needed:

There are NO republican plans to bust up unions. However, there ARE plans to ensure that whether or not to join a union is the choice of individual workers.

Democrats believe that unions can only survive if workers are forced into them against their will. This shows both great comtempt for workers rights, and some sort of belief on the Democrats' part that unions are so unpopular with workers that no worker would ever choose to join on their own.

This would ONLY eliminate unions if they are all so bad that no one would join any except forced. Do you think unions are this bad?

Also, remember, America works best when it says Union NO.

I live in a town where there are two factories across the street. One is union-free, thanks to a concerted effort by the workers to keep the thugs out. This plant keeps hiring more and more workers.

The other is a plant where workers are forced to join the UAW. Or was. The union forced the plant to close. The situation with the low-quality product (from the union preventing bad workers from being fired) and the company being prevented from paying a fair wage was just not sustainable.

And yes, we are being lied to. That is an excellent and summary of your statements.

Try telling the truth sometimes.

Show me just one mainstream media article where the Bush administration claimed they found WMDs in Iraq...Just one...Bet you can't. But that's probably just the liberal media covering it up so they can push their homosexual agenda on everyone right?? Oh wait, you have a conservative media outlet in Faux News...They have a huge hard on for Bush so surely they have reported on the massive amounts of WMDs found in Iraq.

You + Credibility = 0

No one is forced against their will to join a union. They can simply take the job at the factory that's hiring so many workers across the street right?

cough - bullshit-cough

Toad, you are absolutely right that unions are a great thing for this country... If you're talking about the 1800s of course. Unions have people protest against companies to increase wages, even though a lot of jobs are trivial to do. So then what happens? Jobs from this country are being brought to other countries like China. Dmarks is bringing an excellent point here, they basically DO force people to join, like loan officers and people receiving unemployment.

Trivial jobs that force jobs over seas?? You must be talking about CEOs who make 15x what their Japanese counterparts make...Clearly not someone who actually makes cars and makes $20 per hour. It's the CEOs who want to make $20 million per year which drives jobs over seas...If unions drove jobs overseas then the auto industry jobs would have been the first to go and the textile jobs would have been the last to go...But we saw just the opposite didn't we...Ever buy a piece of clothing made in the US in the last 10 years? What about a pair of shoes in the last 15 years?? Yet, my car, which is 5 years old, was made in America with union labor. Get your story straight before you talk shit...It makes you look stupid.

No one has ever been forced to join a union...Ever...Just like Obama was born in the US and there were no WMDs and the US actually DID land on the moon...Get a life. Conspiracy theories are fun but if you are looking for real conspiracy theories stick with the bible...Not Faux News talking points.

And by the way, Unions didn't really start to take off until after WW2, not in the 1800s...I mean, there were still slaves in the 1800s.

wow...I actually took the time to read all, err, most of this blog while I was waiting for my cup-a-soup to cool off, and I have to say, Toad, you are completely owning and owning and owning Anonymous - your arguments are more succinct, on point and relevant. although you do have the "high ground" in this one, because, well, the bible is a work of fiction. btw, Anon, from what I remember from sunday school the bible is NOT a chinese menu that you can PICK AND CHOOSE which parts you want...to follow, not order lol
anyhow, keep up the good fight.
ps/ you know why Harold Camping was wrong about the Rapture coming?....because god is not real.

Good fight? I do suppose you can call it that if you have the same views... He's not a good fighter, but rather a good complainer that looks at only the positives from the left and negatives from the right. But I can picture someone talking about cup-a-soup judging something with Chinese food. Harold Camping is going to be wrong, because we'll probably get killed by an asteroid way into the future instead. "God is not real" is your personal opinion. But it's your 1st amendment right to say so, so say it loud and proud Mr. Cup-a-Soup!
