Hurricane Rita

From Tom Delay's website:
Washington, Sep 13 - Congressman Tom DeLay (R-Sugar Land) today announced a record grant of homeland security funds for the Houston-Galveston area, with more than $54 million in vital projects coming to the Texas Gulf Coast. The funding, part of the Department of Homeland Security’s port security grant program, will be used to enhance security operations in Houston, Beaumont, Freeport, Port Arthur, and Texas City.

I wonder if Houston, the city in Tom Delay's district, George Bush's home state, Exxon, Conoco Phillip's and Halliburton's corporate headquarters’ will find the resources and get a quicker federal relief response to Hurricane Rita than the state and city with a Democratic Governor, a black Mayor and a whole lot of poor people?

I posted this question on me own blog (michaelav.blogspot.com), but I will ask it here:
Since the hurricane passed up Key West, does this mean that God really doesn't hate the gays?? :)

Resources are in San Antonio, waiting for the storm to pass. You;re right, help will be almost immediate, and I can't imagine it's conincidental that oil refineries are there.

No way it could be that TX is more prepared due to hindsight after what happened in LA is there? I mean if you get punched in the head once, you'll probably flinch the next time you see a fist... right. Nah... Gotta be the EEEeevilll conservatives.

Well lets see, how many times was the World Trade Center bombed?

Didn't seem to be any lessons learned there.

K-nine said...

Wasn't bombed the same way twice, and not inside of a month.

Hey K-nine you're retarded. Someone should make you wear a ball-gag and ass-fuck you. I'm tired of hearing conservative ass republicans and their distorted religious-tainted views. Take your bullshit propaganda elsewhere. However, I think youre right in one way, they will be more prepared, and expecting the worse because of Katrina. It's there way of trying to 'make up' for neglecting the 'niggers'. And it just so happens Bush will be saving his home state and a bunch of fucking oil that the world tells us is in shortage....I want to ask this question...During the Cold War Mother Russia developed a device that could trigger a catastrophic earthquake. So now years later could technology and/or the U.S create a Hurricane?? I believe it's a possibility, but then again, I'm just a brain-washed conspiracy-theorist, so what do I know?

This is sort of a catch 22 for the administration. If they react slow it means incompetence. If the react quickly, they doomed New Orleans on purpose.

I like your new photo, toad.

Ya know, Jason. I'm amazed at how quickly you downgraded to name calling and threats.
As far as the retarded comment, thank you. Webster's Defines retarded as "unallowed to develop to one's full potential" I'd like to think I have additional potential.
I grew up in a poor community, about 85% black. I do not use the N-word for two reasons. 1. it doesn't denotate color. and 2. I find it a foul and loathsome sounding word... sort of like saying FUCK very loudly in a place you hold sacred. Just seems wrong.
I am not a republican. My parents were Democrats, but the days of conservative democrats are over, so I am unafiliated.
I am not overly religious, My beliefs are exactly that... mine. You will more likely find me in a pub than a church. I may pontificate, but I rarely preach.
All I did was offer an alternative to the theory put forth.
I spouted no propaganda, because I don't espouse that type of politiking.
It does no good to try to convince someone of an opposing view by coersion or deception, you can only do that by reason.
As far as you being brainwashed, I wouldn't know, I didn't know you before, and I would never judge someone instantly... especially on such a vitriolic rant...
On conspiracies, the best ones are always unprovable.

You do seem strangely anti-gay for someone on a liberal site (I assume I can call this liberal?) Because your first thought was that I should be ball-gagged and ass-fucked as though everyone would think that's bad. Some of my gay friends might enjoy that, although I wouldn't know for sure because we've never discussed it... seems to be a terribly personal subject.

Lastly, for Toad, am I not welcome here? I thought that I could add something by way of some opposing or alternative views. However if this is just some fan club dedicated to sicofantic yes men and threatening and namecalling opposition, I will walk away quietly. If I have broken some sacred rule by defiling your space with my different way of thinking, Hell man, I'm sorry. I always though the best discussions were two sided. I apreciated your comments on my spot, and though I don't always share the view of others, I value it as a personal view.
So, Toad, your call...

Hey K-Nine, I believe I can answer the question 'Am I welcome here?' for you. Of course you are welcome here. You're right, we need all sides of opinions to be explored and questioned. But remember, there are many unanswered questions, but even more unquestioned answers. And I think that is what my brother is partly trying to do here with this website. Same with mine. But man, you must've put a lot of hard work and thought into this last comment, I really didn't think anyone would take me that seriously. Some advice, don't take me seriously, cause I sure don't. And yes I am completely brain-washed by Anarcho-Syndacalist Ideology and far-fetched Conspiracy Theories ranging from a man-made moon to Colonel Sanders owning the world. Anyways, I don't want to hear about how 'politically correct' you think you are with your "gay friends" and "not using the N word". First off, I am a minority where I live, and I am a minority where I work. I am a European-American (white). On a daily basis 80% of the people I hang out with and associate with are black or hispanic. The quotations on the word 'nigger' is to signify the use of the word for the men in power. They obviously don't care about what happens to them. And 2, Theres nothing wrong with anal sex, I love it. I talk with my gay friends about it quite often. No big deal. As for the ball-gags, well I don't know man. For your quote: "I am not overly religious, My beliefs are exactly that... mine. You will more likely find me in a pub than a church" Well, I'm very proud of ya. When I referred to 'conservative religious republicans...' I wasn't necessarily referring to you, its just that a comment like yours is usually the archtype for that kind of blind media-fed rhetoric.

Well I am glad we can all kiss and make up; or at least ball-gag and make up.

And yes K-nine lately it seems I have been preaching to the choir; when I first started this out the number of conservatives to liberals were pretty much equal. I either scared them off with my "Ted Kennedy, Hilliary Socialism" or the thought of them having to look in the mirror was too terrifying.
So any posts, besides spam is welcomed; although you may sometimes have to just ignore Bruiser.

Yours is no exceptinon except perhaps he has a sharper wit than most of those I've had the pleasure to experience. I say, hail to the common wo/man and let the chips fall where they may.
