Unbelievable. Andrea Yates, the housewife who "thought her kids were evil" and therefore killed all 5 of them, has just been found not guilty by reason of insanity in 3 of their murders.
Even if she is a nut bag, she's still guilty, she still killed those kids; who cares why or how? How does that matter. She has killed 5 people and crazy or not, she is capable of having more children and killing them too. Should it really matter if she did it because she's just an asshole, or because she thinks her kids are Satan, or any other reason? Those kids are dead and she is the reason, period. Therefore, she must pay that price. Do you really think a poor, crazy, black, crack-head mother would have gotten off this easy if she did the same? Of course not. I'm not trying to turn this into a race thing I am merely bringing up a point. I guess my main point is that why is no one in our society responsible for their own actions?
Hopefully for the people of Texas, the prosecutors will still charge her in the murders of her other two kids and may actually get a jury with brains the next time around.
I am dumbfounded.

I don't get it. I thought Texas liked to execute people.
Mayby they have a Mexicans and Blacks only policy. I'm baffled.
Thats why I brought it up. I figured they already had the electric chair warmed up.
Andrea Yates should die a slow, torturous death. Oh, I don't know...I have drowning in mind. The heartless bitch.
Actually I hear that drowning can be quite peaceful once you relax.
Ok, so what about death by flame thrower?
Yeah, not sure what I was thinking. Drowning is a peaceful way to die, but I am sure she didn't have that in mind when she held her children under the water. Again, I say, heartless bitch. (and I am not the swearing type!)
Death by (low-burning so it takes longer) flame thrower while a bucket hangs overhead pouring out salt and saturing her body with lemon juice at the same time would be a nice option.
No but wait...Shes not guilty she's depressed or was it insane for only 5 minutes? I forget. She needs help, not punishment. She's a white Christian and therefore not responsible for her own actions.
She was only trying to kill the demons like Jesus wanted.
I think a lot of people think, "You have to be crazy to kill your own children" and that's as far as their thinking gets, especially if someone has a plausible argument for insanity under the law.
But it is surprising. As "Blue Collar" comedian Ron White famously says:
"Other states are getting rid of the death penalty-- we're putting in an express lane!
I don't get it either.
