Bill Ayers Endorses John McCain For President

Chicago, IL - In a surprise press conference on Wednesday, UIC Professor and former member of the Weather Underground, Bill Ayers, announced his support for John McCain for President. Ayers told the press that, in his eyes, John McCain is the only candidate shares his goal for America: its complete and utter destruction.

Ayers went on to say that in his days of playing revolutionary in the 60’s, his group could have never possibly dreamed of doing as much damage to America that has been accomplished under the last 8 years of Republican rule and what John McCain has in store for our economy and foreign policy. “In our wildest dreams, we really couldn’t have done it any better ourselves," Ayers was quoted as saying. He also stated that one of the turning points was McCain suspending his campaign to go back to Washington to ensure the state was able to secure its control and ownership of banking institutions. “This was a Socialists wet dream, I mean the Federal Government has grown over 60% over the last 8 years”, Ayers went on to say that the Socialists' goal of wealth redistribution, with the recent depletion of 401ks flowing to corporate bailouts, was as close to being realized as it has ever been since the Great Depression when the wealth of many was concentrated into the hands of the few, rich and powerful. Although, he admits that his ideal version of Socialism would have seen the wealth of a few dispersed amongst the many,  in the end he concedes, "it was just semantics". And as far as wealth redistribution is concerned, he said that it was impossible to find a better example of this than Palin levying a windfall profits tax on the oil companies and handing an extra $1200 check over to every citizen of her state who didn't work for it. "Every Socialist in the country should have a mural of Palin painted on the side of their building", Ayers went on to say. So, the first event which eventually led him to his support of McCain was the choice of running mate, Sarah Palin. Mr. Ayers said, “Not only was her husband a member of his own violent anti-American secessionist organization who also dealt with plastic explosives and refused to call themselves Americans, but Palin herself is essentially a ticking time bomb who could explode with ignorance at any moment. Hopefully, that moment will be in the Capital Building." He said, “she could just pick up where we left off.”

The other thing that attracted Ayers to McCain was his blatant disregard for the troops. Ayers said,"It's almost like he hates the baby killing troops as much as me; I mean, he is constantly voting against bills involving veteran's issues and not only wants to keep troops in Iraq for the next 100 years, which will clearly equal more dead troops, but he also wants to send them to die in Russia, Iran, Venezuela and North Korea too. Once the United States has depleted its military it will never be able to continue its quest of capitalist imperialism and will remain weakened and leave the door open for a Socialist take over from a country like Russia or France."

Ayers did note that although he met Obama back in the 90’s, Obama was way too level headed and possibly even ignorant to Ayer’s views and history. “I don’t even think that Uncle Tom even knew who I was or what I was capable of”, said Ayers, “That’s why I am not voting for him; when I was out planting bombs on public monuments trying to retake America, he was in Hawaii learning how to ride a bike”. Other voters, however, could discount Ayers rejection of Obama as an action of a disgruntled member of a children’s charity organization or as simply the support of one balding, washed up, historically insignificant, 60's era, white guy for another.

“And we have got to say to the world it doesn’t make any difference who you are and what you are. If you’re an American you’re an American if you are a former “terrorist” who never killed anyone while protesting an illegal war or a corrupt banker with political connections who rips the tax payers off to the tune of 124 billion dollars or a crazy preacher who thinks it should be legal for Christians to kill gays and Muslims, we are all Americans!” Ayers said.

Mr. Ayers support of McCain was not a surprise to people who know him well or who are within Chicago’s political establishment. The McCain campaign welcomed it as a powerful reassurance to voters that he is willing to reach out, work across the isle and go against his own party and not just because his own party was always wrong.

Mr. McCain called Bill Ayers at 10 a.m. to thank him for the endorsement and told him “how honored he was to have it,” said a senior adviser to Mr. McCain. The two spoke for about 15 minutes.

McCain stated that he, Sarah and Todd "looked forward to taking advantage of his militant expertise and goal for an 'America on its knees' in the next two weeks and hopefully over the next four years", the advisor said.

With what they're throwing at Sarah, and the grace with which she takes it and keeps her chin up, I don't think I've ever seen anyone more courageous. She is one special lady. I can't help but wonder how many of these women that have such a deep resentment of Sarah Palin had abortions in their past and Sarah brings this unpleasant memory to the surface and puts them under conviction. I wish that I could say this more skillfully, but Ayers may not be the only unrepentant American.

Well, if the terrorist Bill Ayers says I should vote for McCain, then I guess I'll have to switch to The Marxist (Obama).

Strangely, though, I don't think Ayers is going to do much other than remind anyone leaning toward McCain what the radical left is all about.

Beyond that, it was a good laugh.

I think he should endorse McCain, that would be great. I mean, McCain and Palin are the two biggest Socialists in the race.

If taxing oil companies and handing out their cash isn't wealth redistribution I don't know what is. It's a far cry from raising a rich guys taxes $140 per week to support the troops and pay teachers.

Bill Ayers didn't kill anyone, Eric Rudolph did. Bill Ayers hasn't been convicted of a crime, Eric Rudolph, McVeigh, Nichols have.

Do you really want to have the far left/right extremist conversation?

Ill be glad to have that debate.

Toad: All those guys are terrorist scumbags and you know it. I don't see any difference except with ideology they choose to pervert.

I can think of a few people more courageous, the 9/11 rescuers come to mind as do the people who volunteered to go to Afghanistan. She doesn't have a choice, sure, she hasn't cried yet but that's because she's always speaking to friendly crowds.

I can assure you that no one is looking at Palin and saying "Gee, I really wish I had a pregnant teenage daughter and a retarded new born". I don't think that is a concern for most women.

Ya but there's a difference. The ones on the right actually killed people and are being punished for it, the one on the left blew up some monuments and has never been convicted on any wrong doing and is walking the streets and working with the Chicago Mayor to improve education and it what he did happened 30 years ago. Am I still a theif because I used to steal tapes from K-Mart and sell them while at High School? Or can people change over the course of a couple decades?

And the obvious fact that Ayers is not the Democratic nominee.

And here I was, trying to argue with facts and logic.
