They're All Going to Hell!

Matthew 19:23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. 24Again I say to you, It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

I guess this means all those guys like Pat Robertson, Jimmy Swaggert, George Bush, Joyce Meyers, Robert Tilton and Jerry Falwell are all going to hell unless one of them can figure out how to shove a camel through the eye of a needle. But I guess Jerry Falwell is already going to hell because he is a disgusting fat body and the Bible treats gluttony as a sin. Or is that another part of the Bible that people ignore and interpret to fit within their own lifestyles?

It's quite simple, find a really large needle and a really small camel.

RE: DEE
Hey you did more than most would.
Thats the kind of response I was expecting anyway. Theres always some other interpretation that they attach to stuff like that or they just ignore it and say it was a dream.

Heaven and Hell are all relative. I personally do not believe in either. Just so you don't think I was raised in an off the wall religion, my mother would take us to a non denominational christian church as a kid. My older sister (9 years older than me) would take me to a southern baptist church. At the age of 10 I wanted to be baptized, so my sister took me to church and I was. Now here is where it all went wrong for me. The pastor, minister, whatever he was, refused to give me my certificate until my sister paid tithes to the church. To this day I am disgusted with christianty. In the book they all claim to read and love it tells them to love thy neighbor UNCONDITIONALLY, sadly though most all of them are hipocrites. I decided that if people had to PAY to get into heaven then I did not want to be stuck with an eternity of rich snobbiness.
I believe we are all equal and some should just try to think for themselves, unstead of letting a book that has been retranslated more times than we can count, think for them.

Re: Sandy

Well I don’t actually believe in Heaven, Hell, El Dorado, Neverland, the Fountain of Youth or any other mythical place. But, the people who listen to what the ones listed above say, do.
The points being made is that Christianity is a business like anything else, it sells. The only difference is they don’t have to pay any taxes.
The other point is that it’s funny how all these people can point to verse in the Bible, and call someone a sinner, when there’s a verse on the next page that identifies them as sinners for being rich gluttons, though they tend not to talk about that.

I like your blog - And I definitely agree about the idea of hypocritical "Christians".

Okay..the correct interpretation of that scripture is as follows:

It is easier for a camel to enter heaven, than a man who worships only mammon (Money, power, idols)

Unfortunately, once people discover money, power, and greed, they lose track of the simple power of faith.

Faith is the ability to believe in those things which can not be seen.
